Welcome to Covenant! We’re excited to meet you.

Community … Connecting … Sharing Life

Coming to a new church can be intimidating, especially if you have no idea what to expect when you walk through the door. We get that. Below you’ll find some common questions that guests want to know.

When and where do you meet?

10 am Sundays at Timber Creek Elementary (TISD)

8455 Creekside Green Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77389

What should I wear?

Dress at Covenant is casual — business casual, jeans, shorts will all fit in.

What can I expect at worship?

Relationships are at the heart of who we are. Covenant is a place where you can easily get to know others and be on a first-name basis with the pastor (It’s Jason, by the way.) Borrowing from Goldilocks, Covenant is “just right”—we’re small enough to know each other by name, yet big enough that it won’t feel awkward. Discover for yourself the friendly faces and open, approachable people that make up our Covenant family.

You can expect to not be hungry. We understand that getting your family to church can sometimes be hectic. Know that you can always grab some free doughnuts and coffee at worship.

We believe that worship is most meaningful when it’s authentic. At Covenant we want you to feel comfortable worshiping in the way that works best for you. Do you tend to be quiet and reflective, or are you the sing-your-heart-out-get-up-and-dance type? Either way, you’ll find a fit here. We have no preconceived notion of what “worship” has to look like.

While we want you to feel comfortable, we don’t want you to feel complacent. Our messages and music are designed to encourage and challenge you to grow in your faith—from whatever point you’re starting this journey.

What is the style of music?

Our music is selected to enhance each week’s scripture focused worship experience. We sing both modern and ancient songs of the faith led by a full band and worship leader.

What is the preaching like?

Each week, Pastor Jason brings forth a gospel-centered message that is both relevant to our lives today and teaches us the content and the context of the scriptures.

What do my children do during the service?CovKidsWeb copy

Typically, children begin worship with their families, joining us for singing and prayers before they are dismissed to The Junction (K-3rd Grade) or J45 (4th & 5th Grade) to learn about the scriptures at their own speed. They return for the closing of worship. Although there’s much fun to be had at Cov Kids, your child is also welcome to stay with you throughout the service if you prefer. Nursery space is available throughout the entire service for infants, toddlers & Pre-K. Want to learn more? Visit our Children’s Ministry page.

What Christian traditions do you incorporate into worship?

We celebrate the sacrament of baptism for both infants and adults, as well as monthly Holy Communion. Traditional United Methodist liturgy is used for both sacraments. In addition, we regularly incorporate The Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed, and Profession of Faith. Gluten free Communion is available.

Do you offer small groups?

Covenant believes that being part of a church involves more than weekly worship attendance. The church consists of a body of believers that live life together by caring for one another, bearing one another’s burdens, and seeking to grow into the likeness of Christ through the power of God’s word–Sharing life. Learn more about our Life Groups.

When will you have a church building?

We own the land directly in front of Timber Creek Elementary (fronting Kuykendahl) which will be where our future building will sit. We plan to break ground on our building no later than May 2018.
